Day 14.

Sep 30, 2025

I’m not sure how it’s been two weeks since I was able to hold his hand and kiss his cheek for the last time as he went from this earth to Jesus.  Time is a strange thing. For us, it has almost stood still but we can see it moving on around us.

I appreciate when laughter creeps in. It does feel strange to laugh though. I’m thankful for family, a church family and neighbors that have taken care of us in so many ways. The outpouring of prayer is felt.

This still feels impossibly hard to walk through but walk we must. One foot in front of the other.

“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.””

Deuteronomy 31:8 ESV
